To mark the 40th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man In Motion World Tour, OwlKids has published ‘The Man In Motion: How Rick Hansen’s World Tour Helped Break Down Barriers for People with Disabilities’, a powerful new picture book introducing young readers to Rick’s extraordinary journey.
The story follows Rick’s 26 month wheelchair marathon around the world to raise awareness about the potential of people with disabilities, and the movement it sparked toward a more accessible, inclusive world.

Written by Lorna Schultz Nicholson in collaboration with Rick Hansen, and illustrated by Emma FitzGerald, this biographical picture book explores the power of perseverance, teamwork, and removing barriers.
