Laura Bain lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she is currently working on her Masters of Social Work at Dalhousie University. Prior to pursuing this, Laura spent 5 years working as a reporter for Accessible Media. Recently, she has done some professional acting! Laura loves being active and getting outdoors, especially tandem biking, hiking, camping and travelling. She also enjoys relaxing at home and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. When Laura was four years old, she was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa and now uses a white cane to navigate her environment. Whenever Laura encounters barriers, she tells herself to “do it anyway”!
