Quality of Life Program
Since 2003, the Rick Hansen Foundation has invested in accessibility solutions for people with disabilities in the form of quality of life grants. Over 1,200 grants have supported accessible playgrounds, home modifications, adaptive devices, recreation programs, exercise equipment, and therapy projects among others, which have provided greater independence and inclusion for thousands of people living with disabilities.
Please note: The Quality of Life Program is on hiatus. This year we have launched a new grants program called Access4All that provides funding to qualified donees to improve the accessibility of public spaces across Canada (places such as schools, playgrounds, community centers, parks etc). Visit rickhansen.com/access4all for more information.
