Ed Huget is an Accessibility Assessment Contractor and Alberta Building Code/Barrier-Free Consultant with many years of experience in the building construction industry. His experience includes building projects ranging from new builds to legacy commercial, institutional, multilevel residential and civic recreational facilities.
Ed has certification in Architectural/Structural Design Drafting and Safety Codes Alberta Barrier-Free Design. He has been engaged by entities throughout Alberta to consult on their new builds and existing structures to determine their alignment with barrier-free and universal design, report on their best practices and identify their deficiencies. His design/build experience and knowledge of barrier-free and universal design strengthens his role in raising awareness with various stakeholders. He advocates for the need to accommodate a diverse range of accessibility features for persons with disabilities, seniors and the general public.
