I was also recruited by the Accessibility Services Department at the Foundation, consulting on the rebuilding of the Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa. In the summer of 2017 I also consulted at Base des Plein air Bon Depart, a camp for children and adults with disabilities in Wentworth-Nord, Quebec on behalf of the Canadian Tire Jump Start Foundation.
Other work for this department included consultations with The Victoria International Airport, McGirr Elementary School’s inclusive playground in Nanaimo, BC, and I am currently a member of the design team for the intended rebuild of the Crystal Pool Health and Wellness Centre in Victoria, BC.
In addition to conducting both pre-construction and existing facility RHFAC Ratings, I also assist clients in developing universally designed spaces both in residential and commercial applications. Provided services include developing construction drawings, creating innovative solutions for complex site-specific barriers, including limitations of budget, space and user demographics.
