Annual Report and Financial Information
Accountability and Transparency
The Rick Hansen Foundation adheres to best practices for registered charities as recommended by Imagine Canada.
We publicize our Audited Financial Statements, Annual Reports, and links to our T3010s filed with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to ensure that we provide the highest standard of accountability and transparency to our donors and other stakeholders.
We also provide full accountability reports to Government funders, as well as stakeholder reports and newsletters to donors.
Audited Annual Financial Reports
Our financial statements are audited annually by an external public accounting firm as required by the Canada Corporations Act, CRA and our Government Funding Agreements.
For the year ended March 31, 2013, we have changed the presentation of our audited financial statements to improve readability for our stakeholders and reflect how we direct funds to our programs.
As a registered Canadian charity, the Rick Hansen Foundation is required to file a T3010 annual information return with the CRA. The T3010 presents information including charitable programs, grants to qualified donees, fundraising, management and administration costs and compensation.
