Aluki Chupik-Hall

Six-year-old Aluki Chupik-Hall has severe scoliosis, an often-painful condition that requires her to wear a back brace for up to 23 hours a day and, when she is older, possibly having to undergo surgery to fuse her spine.

Rick Hansen - Canadian Hero
Written for a Grade 3 level this book chronicles Rick's story from childhood to world-class athlete to Canada's Man In Motion. Part of Pearson Education Canada's Reaching Readers series of Amazing Canadians' biographies.

Lesson plans and a Teacher Guide are also available for this book.


Tale of a Great White Fish
For K to Grade 5, this engaging book follows 'Big Fish', a sturgeon, over two centuries, as she battles and survives many dangers in her amazing underwater world. Written by Maggie de Vries and illustrated by Renne Benoit.

Boy In Motion
For K to Grade 5, the inspiring story of Rick Hansen's early years, builds on the themes of courage, determination, overcoming obstacles and helping others. Written by Ainslie Manson and illustrated by Renné Benoit.

Co-authored by Jim Taylor, this book chronicles Rick's remarkable Man In Motion World Tour to raise awareness and funds for people with spinal cord injury.




Going the Distance
Co-authored by Dr. Joan Laub, this book reveals the principles, processes and practical strategies that helped Rick achieve his goal of completing the Man In Motion World Tour.
