Planat is an online tool that allows you to view and rate the accessibility of places worldwide. With Planat, people with accessibility needs can prepare their trips and outings beforehand and search while on the go. Almost everyone is affected directly or indirectly by accessibility issues, whether it be from an injury, knowing or being someone with a disability, or even using a stroller or suitcase. Access matters in our world.
Planat is our answer to having on-the-go accessibility information from any mobile or computer device. No matter where you are, you are just one click or tap away from a stress-free journey.
Venues are rated on a 5-point scale, with 5 being the most accessible and 0 being the least accessible.
Each venue has two different scores. The first being the user reviewed score where users rate the venue’s accessibility based on personal experience. The questions asked address the accessibility of the essential business/location functions, and are meant to help others form a general decision about the location’s accessibility.
The second score is calculated after a business or organization completes an accessibility "Essentials" survey. This survey covers more specific details such as the door size, ramp slope, and aisle width.
Additional information can be provided to consumers by completing an "Extended" survey, which is displayed in the venue profile.
We are constantly adding and revising questions to improve our assessment quality. If you have any suggestions for us to add to the assessment please contact email@example.com.
