The Rick Hansen Foundation Welcomes Sue Paish to its Board of Directors

August 23, 2010 – VANCOUVER, BC – The Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) is pleased to welcome Sue Paish, QC, to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Paish is the CEO of Pharmasave Drugs National Ltd. and joins existing Board members Mr. Lyall Knott (Chair), Mr. Jim Watson (Secretary), Mr. George Gaffney (Treasurer), Mr. Matthew Bosrock, Ms. Sally Douglas, Mr. Perry Goldsmith, Mrs. Amanda Hansen, Mr. Jonathan Kallner, Mr. Tod Leiweke and Mr. Peter Ufford.

Ms. Paish is a former managing partner of the Vancouver office of Fasken Martineau, one of Canada’s largest law firms. She spearheaded the expansion of the firm from one office in Vancouver to an international platform with nine offices in three continents. Ms. Paish joined Pharmasave as CEO in 2007 with a mission to double the franchised stores count by 2012. Her success, dedication and commitment have earned her the titles of one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women and one of Vancouver’s Most Influential Women in Business. She recently completed a term as chair of the Vancouver Board of Trade and is the founding chair of the Board’s Women’s Leadership Circle.

Ms. Paish has been a Director on many corporate and community boards including ICBC, Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, Women’s Hospital Foundation and BCIT Foundation. She was an Ambassador for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and is currently a Director of LifeLabs, CORIX, Michael Smith Foundation and the Sauder School of Business.
